ダチョウの骨盤肢帯（寛骨）

骨盤肢帯（pelvic girdle)(寛骨（coxal bone）)は腸骨（ilium），坐骨（ischium），恥骨（pubis）で構成される。鳥類の多くは，腸骨と坐骨が融合し，細い恥骨が尾方に傾斜したかたちで存在している。しかし，ダチョウでは，恥骨の形状は基本的に他のトリと変わらないが，腸骨と坐骨が融合しない。ダチョウの骨盤肢帯は，白亜紀のトリであるHesperornisの骨盤肢帯とよく似ており，恐竜をはじめとする動物群の状態を維持している。
